WASHINGTON – Small businesses interested in exporting now have a new
online tool to help them tap into the global marketplace to grow their business.
Developed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. Small Business
Administration, Six Steps to Begin Exporting, www.export.gov/begin, is the
latest tool in the National Export Initiative toolbox to help entrepreneurs begin
exporting.

The six-step process begins with a self-assessment to help potential exporters
gauge their readiness to successfully engage in international trade. The self-
assessment is followed by sections on training and counseling programs;
resources to create an export business plan; information on conducting market
research; assistance for finding foreign buyers; and investigating financing for
your small business exports, foreign investments or projects.

Upon completing the self-assessment, businesses receive a score indicating
their level of readiness. Based on the score, additional resources are identified
fitting their specific needs, including SBA and its nationwide resource partners
SCORE and Small Business Development Centers, as well as Commerce’s U.S.
Export Assistance Centers, which provide individualized support.

“This practical, interactive website is just the latest example of the
commitment the Obama administration has made to helping American
businesses – especially small businesses – sell more of what they make around
the world,” U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said. “Connecting America’s
entrepreneurs and small businesses with new buyers and new markets abroad
will help create jobs and spur sustainable economic growth.”

“With nearly 96 percent of the world’s customers living outside the United
States and two-thirds of the world’s purchasing power in foreign countries,
tapping into opportunities in the global market makes perfect sense and is
more attainable than ever for small business owners,” SBA Administrator Karen
Mills said. “One of the main hurdles potential exporters face is their fear that
exporting is too complicated. This six-step process addresses and dispels that
concern. Across the administration, we continue to strengthen the tools and
resources so we can be the best possible partner in helping small business
owners grow their customer base beyond our borders and, in doing so, create
new jobs here at home.”

This joint Commerce-SBA effort is part of an array of activities by federal
agencies to support President Obama’s National Export Initiative, which calls
for doubling U.S. exports and supporting 2 million jobs over the next five
years. So far this year, U.S. exports have increased nearly 18 percent
compared to the same period in 2009.

President Obama has outlined five steps the Administration is taking to help
U.S. firms expand sales of their goods and services abroad: creating a new
Cabinet-level focus on U.S. exports, expanding export financing, prioritizing
government advocacy on behalf of U.S. exporters, providing new resources to
U.S. businesses seeking to export, and ensuring a level playing field for U.S.
exporters in global markets.

counseling and technical assistance resources, please visit www.export.gov.

SBA Backs Repeal of ‘Burdensome’1099 Reporting
Requirements on Small Business Transactions

***************

Release Date: November 22, 2010

Release Number: 10-67

***************

WASHINGTON – In an open letter to small business owners, SBA Administrator Karen Mills described requirements that small businesses report all transactions greater than $600 as “burdensome,” and called for their repeal. Mills said the reporting requirements in the Affordable Care Act, which were to have begun in 2012, add up to “too much paperwork, too much filing.”

The text of the letter, which is posted on the SBA Website at http://www.sba.gov/1099letter/, follows:

Dear Small Business Owner,

I’m writing to update you on the progress that we have made regarding concerns stemming from the expanded 1099 reporting requirement in the Affordable Care Act, which could affect small businesses starting with 2012 purchases and 2013 filings.

The SBA and the Administration support the Small Business Paperwork Relief Act (introduced by Senator Baucus) which would repeal this provision.

As President Obama said on Nov. 3: “… the 1099 provision in the health care bill appears to be too burdensome for small businesses. It just involves too much paperwork, too much filing. It’s probably counterproductive.” Our support for the Small Business Paperwork Relief Act also follows the Administration’s support in September for Senate Amendment 4595 (offered by Senator Bill Nelson), which would have relaxed the reporting requirement.

All businesses that pay another individual or business $600 or more for goods or services starting in 2012 will be required to issue 1099s. The unintended consequence of a potential paperwork burden resulting from this provision quickly came to light, and we immediately began working across the Administration to reduce the burden of these potential future reporting requirements, as I noted in a letter to small businesses in May. We gathered feedback and comments from the small business community through roundtables, forums, and other feedback mechanisms involving outreach from the SBA, the Treasury Department, the I.R.S. and others.

Importantly, the repeal of this provision through the Small Business Paperwork Relief Act will not adversely affect the Affordable Care Act, which provides important health care benefits to millions of Americans. Small businesses are already taking advantage of the new tax credits for providing health insurance to employees this year, and future benefits such as the insurance exchanges in 2013 will provide small businesses with more negotiating power and reduced administrative costs.

Thank you for the input and feedback that many of you have provided on the impact that the expanded 1099 reporting requirement could have on your business. Overall, with your help, we will continue to ensure that America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners operate in an environment not burdened by excessive regulation, allowing you to continue doing what you do best: grow businesses, create jobs and lead America’s economic recovery.

Sincerely,
Karen Mills
SBA Administrator

SBA Expands Entrepreneurship Boot Camp for Vets

SBA Expands Entrepreneurship Boot Camp for Vets
Announces Two New Programs for Women Vets, Guard, Reservists and Families

*************
Release Date: November 10, 2010
Contact: Dennis Byrne (202) 205-6567
Release Number: 10-63
Internet Address: http://www.sba.gov/news

*************

WASHINGTON – With thousands of service men and women returning from
wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the U.S. Small Business Administration and
Syracuse University are expanding their Entrepreneurship Boot Camp for
Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) to a seventh school, Louisiana State
University, and launching two new entrepreneurship programs for women
veterans and National Guard and Reserve members and their families.

According to the SBA, nearly one quarter of veterans indicate they are
interested in starting or buying their own small business, and that percentage
is even higher among women veterans. With that in mind, the growing
partnership between SBA and Syracuse University provides training on how to
start and grow a small business to veterans, with programs targeted to
service-disabled veterans, women, National Guard and Reserve members and
their families of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“When you consider the leadership and management skills our veterans
develop while on active and reserve duty, it’s no wonder we see more of them
pursuing their dreams as entrepreneurs and small business owners,” SBA
Administrator Karen Mills said. “Through our partnership with Syracuse
University we are continuing to strengthen the tools and resources available to
them.”

“We often speak about the sacred trust we have with our service men and
women, and one way we honor that trust is ensuring they have every possible
opportunity for success,” Mills continued. “When it comes to entrepreneurship,
their success also means success in driving economic growth and creating
jobs.”

In 2009, SBA partnered with Syracuse University, providing a three-year
cooperative agreement providing funding totaling $450,000, to support the
university’s year-long EBV program on six campuses. Now in the second year
of the partnership, with SBA’s support, the “boot camp” is expanding to a
seventh campus, E.J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University.
The other five campuses are: the University of Connecticut School of
Business, Mays Business School at Texas A&M, UCLA Anderson School of
Management, Florida State University’s College of Business, and the Krannert
School of Management at Purdue University.

Created and delivered by a network of some of the best business schools in
the country, it is designed to leverage the skills, resources and infrastructure
of higher education to offer experiential training in entrepreneurship and small
business management to veterans. Last year, the first year SBA partnered
with Syracuse University, 129 service-disabled veterans participated in the
program. Since the program’s inception, more than 320 wounded warriors have
graduated to date and more than 150 businesses to date have been launched
by graduates.

Additionally, SBA is also providing $2.6 million through a cooperative agreement
over three years for two new programs supporting veteran entrepreneurs. The
first, Women Veterans Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE),
focuses on training, networking and mentorship for women veterans. The
three-day, off-site training program, online training and network support
structures will be delivered in several locations around the nation, and
anticipates serving up to 1,400 female veterans over a 36-month period.

The second new program, Operation Endure & Grow, targets National Guard
and Reserve members, their families and business partners. The goal of this
program is to mitigate the economic hardship of deployed members and their
families. The eight-week online course will focus on the fundamentals of
launching and/or growing a small business for those who will sustain the
business when the service member is deployed, injured or killed. Initially 550
individuals are expected to participate. In total V-WISE and Operation Endure
& Grow will serve over 1,950 individuals and their families.

The expansion of SBA’s partnership with Syracuse University builds on more
than $1.25 billion in loan guarantees for veterans in its flagship 7(a) and 504
programs, and through its Patriot Express loan pilot initiative. In three years
Patriot Express has supported nearly $550 million in loans to more than 6,500
veterans and spouses looking to establish or expand their small businesses.

SBA reaches out to veterans through its 68 local SBA district offices, 16
Veterans Business Outreach Centers nationwide, and its partnership with 1,000
Small Business Development Centers and some 12,000 SCORE – Counselors to
America’s Small Businesses volunteers. SBA has numerous programs creating
government contracting opportunities for vet-owned small businesses. For
more information visit www.sba.gov/vets and www.sba.gov/reservists.

"I joined Commission River thinking it could be a secondary income source, but I quickly realized that this is far better than any other job I've had in the past. Today I make a six-figure income and I couldn't be happier..."

Commission River, formerly Cognigen Networks, Inc., has paid out over $5M to our affiliates each of the past 5 years! Get your piece of the pie!

How Do I get Paid?
The most generous and rewarding plan on the market! We understand that our business depends on our agents so we want them to be happy

At Commission River we believe that incentive pay is an important part of our compensation plan. Incentive pay shows appreciation and creates a sense of participation in the company's well-being that straight commission dollars, no matter how large, don't convey. A well-designed incentive-pay plan can also help pull people together, help point them in the direction they want to go, and give that extra push that every company needs in today's competitive environment.

Our three tier commission structure does exactly that. Any agent can increase their monthly earnings with a modest amount of effort. Too often the bar is set so high, the average individual feels defeated before they even begin. At Commission River, we feel that even a handful of sales warrant some kind of incentive pay. Your interest may lie in selling financial services, so we believe that if you excel in that particular category, you deserve to be rewarded across the board, regardless of what you happen to sell.

The premise of how we reward our agents is simple, the more you EARN, the more you EARN. As a Commission River agent, your level of compensation will be based on your previous paycheck amount. Once your personal earnings exceed $1,000 in a single month, our intuitive commission software will automatically elevate your commissions from Tier I to Tier II. When you crest the $5,000 threshold, you will graduate to Tier III, our highest level.

Comp Plan Additional Override Benefits
Commission River also recognizes that you should be well compensated for personally recruiting agents that can sell. We offer a recruiting pool of up to $1,000 per month, which is distributed to those who have personally recruited active agents that make at least one new sale. We offer a simple two tier system, where you can recruit a single level of override commissions for yourself.
You will earn up to 5% commission override on each of your personally recruited affiliates who earn tier I commissions on the sale of any product or service (EX: Your affiliate earns $100 in cellular commission, you earn $5.00 from their Tier 1 commissions)

Telecommunications Services
Tier 1 = default -12%
Tier 2 = $1,000 -14%
Tier 3 = $5,000 -16%

VoIP Services
Tier 1 = default - $59.50
Tier 2 = $1,000 - $66.30
Tier 3 = $5,000 - $72.25

Cellular Phones
Tier 1 = default - $50.40
Tier 2 = $1,000 - $58.40
Tier 3 = $5,000 - 66.40

Satellite TV
Tier 1 = default - $75.00
Tier 2 = $1,000 - $87.50
Tier 3 = $5,000 - $100.00

So how much will it cost me to join?

That’s a good question what do think we should charge you to join one of the premier telecommunication service in the world. Well if you look at our competitors that offer the same business opportunity you will find that their fee for join can be as high as $500.00 and some might have a lower price to join but does not offer the products, marketing, or support we offer.

Then there are some free site that basically require you to do your own marketing, support, and you need your own website just to promote their products or services. So how much will it cost you to get all the products and services that Commission River offers? The price is high so here it comes the price to join Commission River is “Time” Yes, that right “Time” because we know that no matter what price we put on this opportunity if you don’t take the Time to really grow you business no amount of money will motivate you keep it going if you are not motivated to learn and passionate about what you are doing to make your business a success.

In short the cost to join Commission River business opportunity is FREE. WOW that’s a great price right, yes it is but only if you are ready to commit to working with us a Commission River to make you business successful. Let me tell we are here to help if you need it, but remember if you don’t want to succeed nothing there is nothing we can do to force you. So be sure are you the type of person who is ready to become more than what you are now if so then Let’s Get Started.

So What is my next step?
I want to ask your self these questions

1. Would you like to own your own business?
2. If yes why?
3. How much time can you create to work per week?
4. What type of income would you like to earn?
5. What would you do if you had enough money to live anywhere you wanted to and only worked when you chose to?
6. What would be the best part of working for yourself? What would be the hardest part?
7. Are you willing to learn new ways of doing things and would you value training provided to you?

Now that you have answered these questions and you still want this business opportunity then contact me or if you are really sure of your ability to become your own boss then visit our website today and sign up. Then let talk about your future.

How to create a MERP Network

How to plan a MERP [Mobile Enterprise Resource Planning] Network

It’s been eight years since I first came up with a way for companies to plan how mobile technology could help them improve the way they do business and how mobile technology could make them more productive. Back then I’d thought that it was a no-brainer that companies would plan out their mobile system just like they would any other system that is crucial to how their businesses work. For example, there are countless books on LAN/WAN, Database, CRM and back office planning. No CIO worth his salt would simply buy a network without coming together with his team and management. Yet after seven years of talking with companies about the importance of mobility planning, I still find that most companies still look at mobility planning as an afterthought if at all.

Even though they see that the problem keeps getting bigger and bigger, unregistered growth of mobile devices are still being used by management and staff who send, receive and store sensitive company data with no control or security set up by IT or management.

I’d ask myself ‘Why is this?’ Why do companies wait until a mobile device gets lost or stolen with valuable company data that they get somewhat serious about mobility planning? I’d thought maybe they just don’t know what mobility planning is or that mobility planning means a change in their corporate culture that they are not ready for. Either way, mobility is here and it’s not going away. Planning for its growth is the duty of any company if it wants to take advantage of how mobility can add productive to its staff by the proper use of mobile devices, training, applications, and networks.

What is MERP [Mobile Enterprise Resource Planning]?
MERP consists of three main parts: Consulting, System Integration, and Training. All three are vital to creating a successful mobile system that will grow as you add more devices, users, and applications to support those uses. Let’s look at the first part, which is consulting. Now most CEOs, CIOs, and CFOs will balk at paying a consultant’s fee to tell them whether they should use a Blackberry over a iPhone, or a Mobile Windows Smartphone. You know what? I wouldn’t pay a consultant either if that’s all he can come up with.

A true mobile consultant would not care what type of mobile device you use. His job is to find how mobility solutions will benefit your company by becoming mobile. He would show you the pros and cons of mobility and the impact on your company. He’d also look at security issues associated with mobility and show you how applications would work with your existing systems and what type of training that your IT and end user staffs will need to properly use your mobile system.

He would develop a multi-year plan on how you can update your mobile system that would eliminate the need to purchase new mobile devices every time mobile device makers tell you that you need the ‘latest and greatest’ mobile devices to stay ahead of your competition. In most cases, you can keep a mobile device for at least three years before changing it. And depending on the type of application upgrades, you can extend that life to four years with your fixed PCs and laptops systems, believe it or not. The final thing a consultant will show you is both the ROI and TCO of mobility. Now sometimes it will seem like there is no monetary ROI, but in time increased productivity that comes from a completely planned and successfully implemented mobile network will save your company money as apposed to a ‘piece meal’ pay-as-you-go network. It’ll be well worth the expense.

The next step in creating a mobile network is system integration. This is the most important but sometimes overlooked part of a mobile network. It’s probably because many mobile devices can access email and the Internet on their own that IT staffs in most companies feel that’s all that is needed for a mobile worker. Nothing can be further from the truth. Like any other device in your system, mobile devices must be able to ‘talk’ to that system if you want your mobile staff to get the true benefits of having a mobile device.

Being able to access not only your company’s mail server is essential to giving a mobile work force all they need to be successful. That means making sure their devices can access customer records, invoices, CRM applications, VPNs, and remote access from anywhere just like PCs and laptops. Let’s not forget about the most important integration: the company’s security protocols.

This above all else should be number one on the list. Yet most companies seem to have a blind spot when it comes to security system integration of mobile devices. Mobile security must be the first thing integrated into your system. Mobile devices carry a lot of sensitive company data in them and, in some cases, they can store up to 8GB of data when it is linked to your network.

Many times unsecured data is lost or stolen. When those company records are gone, that breach of security could become a big legal problem for the company. You must always remember that security, security, and more security is job number one for your IT staff if any mobile device wants to access your network. The final part of system integration is mobile management.

Now that you have a mobile network in place, it must run smoothly 24/7 like any other IT system. That means mobile devices must be managed meaning access to company data, upgrade of applications, and replacement of mobile devices if they are lost or stolen. That also means setting up the same type of help desk for mobile devices that you would give to PCs and laptops. Making sure that mobile devices are fully integrated into your system is going to lower your TCO and help you realize a better ROI, but most importantly it will make mobility a profit center for your company.

Last, but certainly not least training. To create a successful mobile system you and your staff will need training on how mobile devices work. Now before you laugh and say ‘I don’t need someone to show me how to use my mobile device’, I want you to look around and see how many mobile devices do you have right now. If you have more than two devices in less than a year and all you can do is email and an address book, then you need training.

In the ten years I have been around businesses I have seen desks full of mobile devices that have been underused simply because most end users don’t know how to properly use them. So they take the devices to the IT staff to get help. The IT staff doesn’t want to know that you even have a device. They don’t want to support them because nothing is in place anyway. Plus, most IT staffs are not trained on how to support mobile devices. So now you have a ‘belt’ full of mobile devices that looks like Batman’s utility belt. The only difference is Batman knows how to use his devices and you don’t. Ok, you can laugh now! But consider this; not knowing how your mobile device works raises your TCO and time and money are unnecessarily wasted on device after device. If you believe “Maybe the new device will be easier than the old one”, you are wrong. Mobile devices are getting more and more complicated as more features and memory are being added on each new version that comes out.

Look at it this way. If your teenagers came to you wanting to drive the family car, would you give it to them if they did not have any lesson on how to drive? No you would not. That’s what you are doing if you have an untrained person using a mobile device on your network. If you have invested time and money into a mobile network, your investment is wasted if your staff can’t use the mobile device to properly access your mobile network. Mobile training is just as important to the success of your mobile project as the applications and the mobile device you will use on that network. In fact, if you’re planning a mobile network, a report by Gartner Groups says that at least 12% shows budgets for training. Basic training should include an overview of mobile devices.

There are differences, for example, the way Palm and Blackberry handle email. Palm is a ‘pull technology’, meaning you have to get your mail from Palm’s server while Blackberry is ‘push technology’, meaning that when you turn it on it pushes all your email on the screen all the time. Mobile Windows like all Microsoft products works better with Outlook or Exchange email than either Palm or Blackberry.

The on-board applications are all different in their look and feel on the device and the desktop. All of them have different ways they link to their desktops and servers. Now if your company is like most companies, your end users have not look at the users’ manual. In some cases the manual is still in the box.

Meaning your end users are hoping that someone in your office will become the go-to guy about mobile devices. If there is someone in your office like that, then you just made him your unofficial mobile trainer. If he is on your sales staff, then you will lose productivity every time when someone comes to him, not the IT staff, asking questions about how to use their mobile device.

But you can turn that around by training all of your mobile users on how to use their devices. Remember that if all of them are trained on how to use their mobile devices then they all can be productive. That productivity is where your profit begins and ends. According to another study by Gartner Group, trained workers can bring in more than $2000 to more businesses as opposed to untrained workers. Putting it in prospective, having a trained mobile staff is the best way to achieve an ROI from your mobile network.

Now that we have gone over how to create a successful MERP network, your mandate is to research all you can about how mobility can help your company become more profitable. If you can’t do the research hire a Mobile IT firm that can take you from A-Z on how to create a MERP network for your company.

Is Your Mobile Guru Costing You Money?

Is your mobile guru costing you money?
By Howard Lee
CIO
Wirehead Technology

He seems to be in every office I go to when I start a consulting session with a client. In some cases he is the only one in the sales force who really understands how to use his mobile device [i.e. PDA, Cell phone, and Blackberry] and applications he needs to be more effective salesman. Sometimes I would end up talking to him about how mobility can help the company become more profitable if only he had that “killer app” that can help him beat the competition.

But he is not part of the management, IT, or development team, he’s just the company’s “go to guy” or guru when it comes to mobility. I am sure you have one of them in your office. He knows how to use any mobile device with ease and in some cases he is your ad hoc trainer for everyone else who just can’t seem to get the hang of their mobile device.
You begin to think your saving a ton of money because he is training your staff on their mobile device for FREE right? Wrong, in fact your mobile guru is costing you money. But how you say he’s training my staff for free? Let’s take a real look at you mobile guru. If he is not part of your IT staff or application development team he is costing you money as I mentioned before your mobile guru is usually part of your sales staff now what is the primary job of your sales staff it’s to sale your products or services to your existing clients and to get new customers for your business right? Anything that takes away from that means you are losing sales and existing customers are not getting their full attention. It also means that your mobile application you spent time and money on is not being effectively used by your sales staff since only one or two people really “gets” how the application is supposed to be used.

Tell me if this is what’s happening in your office your guru is on the phone with a client then someone comes over to him because they can’t understand how to get email or write messages on their mobile device. So he cuts his call short to help his co-worker. “So what’s wrong with that” You say. Well here is what’s wrong by cutting his sales call short your guru may have lost a client that’s revenue down the drain. Then there is the co-worker he is not only calling sales leads or clients he is proving that your mobile solution is not making him more productive but less. So now you have three loses in revenue all because your mobile solutions was not properly integrated into you company culture.

So what’s the solution it’s seems rather simple but you would be surprised how many companies over look it when comes to mobility. That’s training, training, training most companies maybe yours thinks becoming mobile means giving their staff a mobile device setting up a mobile network from a provider and presto we are mobile. Thinking like this is what cause most mobile projects to fail or never really live up to the expectations of the company’s that deploy them.

A recent Gartner Group report say’s that 12% of your company’s budget should go for training both your IT and end user staff on what your mobile strategy is for your company and on the effective use of your mobile application and the mobile devices that will be deployed by your end users. The report goes on to say that a fully trained worker can produce $2000.00 more dollars in revenue than an untrained worker. Think about that for a moment when your sales staff stops and have to go to your guru. He is not making sales calls to your clients. Your salesman is also taking time from his client to call on your guru now you have two people not working losing money for every moment he spends helping others. While it maybe great team work it is not the team work you need to keep your business growing. Remember their job is to sell your product or service anything that stops that is a drain on your business.

Mobile devices can be a great way to make your sales staff more productive. But only if they a are fully trained on the device and your application. So if you truly want mobility to work for your business fire your guru and give all of your staff the training they need to make mobility a truly profitable part of your business.

Mobile Marketing in the African-American Community

Mobility in the African-American Market

African-American Business Owners,
Have you been trying to reach your customers but just can’t seem to find them? If the answer is yes then you probably tried the yellow pages, newspaper ads, and even a website but nothing seem to work. You still only reach a small number of customers that is not worth the money you put into your ad campaign.

Then what if I told you that you can reach your potential clients 24/7 even if they don’t have your print ads or visiting your website, not possible you say. Well is very possible believe it or not your potential clients have a device with them that will give them not only access to your message, but will let them tell you in real time if they want the products or services.

That device is their cell phone or mobile device and for African Americans it is the most used technology device they have. Let’s take it further the most used applications used by African-Americans on their phones are email and SMS and that most answer email or SMS immediately after receiving them. So what does that means to me or my business? You ask. That means if you want to reach you customers mobile marketing with SMS or email will bring more customers to your door faster than traditional ads. “Yeah that sounds good but I heard that before, so where’s your real proof not just this salesman’s hype that sounds very chessey” I thought you ask that question so here are the numbers.

The African-American Mobile Market:
The Pew Survey 2007
The Pew survey notes that African Americans are the most active and fastest-growing segment of mobile web users: 48 percent of Africans Americans have at one time accessed the Internet via mobile device, and 29 percent use the mobile web on an average day. Pew contends these high levels of activity means the digital divide between African Americans and white Americans diminishes when mobile use is taken into account, offsetting limited access to computers, laptops, and home broadband connections.

Nielsen Report 2008
According to Nielsen’s Q2 2008 Mobile Advertising Report,
African-American and Hispanic mobile subscribers are also more likely than the typical
texter to engage with some form of text message advertising in a month, 24 and 23 percent respectively. Of those text messagers who recall seeing some form of advertising while using text messaging, 45 percent say they have responded. Furthermore, the most popular response action to any type of mobile advertising (text, mobile web, video, etc.) in Q2 2008 was actually to send a text message. Among mobile subscribers who saw any form of mobile advertising in the quarter, 25 percent say they responded at least once by sending another text message—emphasizing the interactivity and engagement this medium presents.

The exciting part of SMS Marketing is not only the additional immediate revenue you’ll likely generate, but also the added referrals that become possible as a result in addition to the competitive barriers you’ll create by getting primary customer relationship going now

How to create a mobile network?
In today’s economy there has been no more confusing technology then business mobility. What does the term mobility really mean? What is mobile is it a cell phone, a PDA, or a WI-FI enabled laptop? Or is it a little bit of all of them. Maybe mobility is in the network the ease of being connected to your important information no matter what device you are using. If that is how you’re thinking of mobility then you are halfway there. Yes, I said halfway there, the other and most important half is what many businesses fail to understand.

That is mobility is your culture, applications, and how your business relates to your employees and customers. In short mobility is you. Here’s why no mobile solution can be effective for you if it’s not tailored for the way you do business. Many companies that have tried and failed at mobility have blamed their failure on not having the right device or network. Then they compound their failure by buying more devices and trying the latest greatest network offering without taking a look at the real barrier to why their mobile project keeps failing that is how they do business. Instead of creating a mobile assessment of how their business works and which parts of their business can become mobile and what parts should be left as they are. Instead they depend on the marketplace to tell them how to run their business in the mobile environment.

While the mobile market has some great products and services they are only tools to help you build your mobile network but, they are not your network simply because they don’t know how your business works. So they really can’t make you mobile only you can do that. So the question you should be asking me is “How can you make my business mobile, and where do we start”? The fact that you are asking that question means you are thinking that mobility is more than just devices.
