by: Jim Connolly
If you write a business blog and would like to see better results from it, I believe you will find the following 8 blogging tips really useful. They are based on my own experiences, having grown Jim’s Marketing Blog from zero, to one of the world’s most popular marketing blogs.

Let’s get started with tip number 1.
1. Write when you have something useful to share.
Be useful oftenVery few bloggers seem to understand one of the most basic facts of blogging. It’s simply this: You can’t expect people to keep returning to your blog, if you don’t.

For example, if a reader finds a new, useful post on your blog today, then returns in a few days and there’s nothing new, then returns a few days later and still nothing new – you stand a great chance of losing their interest. Conversely, if they find something useful on your blog every few days, they’re extremely likely to keep returning. That’s how you become part of their world. That’s how they start getting to know you.

Motorola Solutions, Motorola Mobility Fortunes Still Divergent

Oct,24,2012
By: Maisie Ramsay
Before Motorola split itself apart in early 2011, its infrastructure business had long outperformed its handset division, posting regular profits as its smartphone unit sunk further into the red. That trend is still in place nearly two years after the company's separation. Motorola Solutions posted healthy third quarter results today, a marked contrast to the handset business it was once combined with. Motorola Solutions’ profits nearly doubled year-over-year to $206 million as sales ticked upwards to $2.15 billion on strength in its government unit. It increased its full-year forecast for sales growth, pegging the increase at between 6 percent and 6.5 percent.

Will Sprint Avoid Using Huawei Infrastructure?

Oct, 22, 2012
by: Ken Rehbehn
Now that SoftBank has officially announced it will be acquiring 70 percent of Sprint, Sprint needs to think about how it will continue to develop moving forward. And it looks like the carrier might decide to avoid using Huawei network equipment because of security concerns from the U.S. government. According to the Financial Times, Sprint’s CEO Dan Hesse noted, “Sprint is a big supplier to the U.S. government and that aside, I wouldn’t put in any equipment that would raise security concerns.” Sprint has already excluded Huawei from bidding on its network upgrade after the U.S. commerce secretary expressed concerns to Hesse about the vendor. Huawei is a supplier to Softbank, however according to CEO Masayoshi Son Huawei is not a significant player, and said he was aware of the issues the U.S. government is currently having with Huawei and would respect any possible outcome.
