The escalating number of Wi-Fi hotspots will likely lead to more data traffic being delivered over Wi-Fi networks than wired networks by 2018, according to Cisco's Visual Networking Index, which was released today. The report also predicted that there will be 53 million Wi-Fi hotspots globally by 2018, noting that both cable companies and wireless carriers are extending their reach by employing Wi-Fi hotspot strategies.

Wireless Week
June,10,2014
By:Andrew Berg

While many consumers may not be all that interested in a 3D-capable smartphone, they may be very interested in an Amazon smartphone.I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Amazon will continue its strategy of selling the device it releases at next week's event in Seattle at bargain basement prices.

Small Business Owners,
Do you want your business to POP! In today's business climate mobility is coming the best way to reach your customers But most mobile apps for business require you to create many different versions of the same app to work with the array of mobile OS's. That can cost you money and time to get that app into the hands of your customers. But what if I showed you how you can get a mobile app for your business that will not only work on all mobile devices, but also work on tablets and PC at no additional cost. Then let me introduce you to WhosPoppin mobile apps.

The WhosPoppin mobile app is different from most other apps because it's developed once and can run on any mobile device, tablet or PC. That in itself would make WhosPoppin one of the best mobile app for your business, but let look closer at the WhosPopin mobile app. most mobile apps will create a mobile version of your business website and allow your customers to visit your page but that's about it. But when WhosPopin develops your app you get links to all social media sites like, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube and Pinterest.

WhosPopin also links your email, and phone to the apps. Best of all WhosPoppin allow your visitor to buy directly from your website and post it to their social media sites and the Youtube features lets you stream your video message directly to your customers. Now here the kicker WhosPoppin does this with making jump from app to app like other mobile app developers. Means your customers spend less time look for the right icon and more time doing the things you want them to do online buying from your website. So does WhosPoppin sounds like the mobile solution your are looking for for your business? Do you want to know more? visit our demo site athttp://www.wirehead.whospoppin.com

Don't worry, the best app developers won't live with their moms forever

In the countercultural 1960s, the catchphrase among Flower Children used to be "turn on, tune in, drop out." Today, it might better be described as "turn on, tune in, make apps."
There was actually something rather refreshing in a recent post on the Harvard Business Review blog called, "Why do app developers still live with their moms?" by Jerry Davis. Instead of the usual rah-rah about the opportunities presented by apps and the ease of entry into the market, the Wilbur K. Pierpont professor of management at the Ross School of Business explores the dark side of self-taught entrepreneurialism. What happens, for example, when young people pin their hopes on becoming an overnight app store hit and let their homework slide?

The Fog of a Price War Is Real in AT&T's New Mobile Share Plans
Wireless Week
Apr,04,2014
by:Andrew Berg

AT&T's new Mobile Share plans are misleading in that they are basically a limited promotion on par with how cable companies offer you an introductory rate, which is then increased at a later date. I'll start out by saying AT&T's new 10GB Mobile Share plans are a good deal: four lines, 10GB of data at $160. You arrive at that amount by adding 4 lines at the new reduced rate of $15 per line (4 X $15 = $60), regardless of device, plus $100 for that 10GB bucket of data.
