Twitter has found brands that run promoted tweets in conjunction with television advertisements are highly effective at reaching their target audience. In response, the microblogging site has released a new service to help brands capitalize.
According to The Drum, Twitter has discovered promoted tweets posted around the time television commercials air enjoy 95 percent better message association and 58 percent higher purchasing intent. Twitter compared campaigns that focused solely on TV advertising and those that encompassed both TV and promoted tweets. The social media company tested its new service with the likes of Adidas, Holiday Inn, Jaguar and Samsung. Each, Twitter said, saw improvements in key advertising metrics. Read Study
